Tip #1:  You must be logged in to add comments to pictures. Your comment will be reviewed by SELF staff before being published on the site for others to read. Login or register for an account.

Tip #2: Logged in users can also mark Favorite Pictures to create a custom directory of your favorite pictures from SELF! Once logged in, just click on the yellow star  beneath a picture to add it to your personal favorites.

Tip #3: You can start a slideshow from any individual picture by clicking on the play button  shown underneath the picture. The pictures for each year will slowly rotate on your screen and you can pause or stop the slideshow at any time.

Tip #4: Vote for the pictures you like the most and let others know which are the best-of-the-best from SELF. Both guests and registered users can vote on pictures using the Image Rating feature (scale from 1=Bad to 10=Good).

Tip #5: You can Search the galleries with the Search box in the upper right. Please note that Search will look for the word or phrase you enter in the titles of the pictures and system descriptions only. If a picture has not been annotated (for example, with a person's name instead of a generic number), it will not show up in the results yet. SELF staff will be working over the next few months to give our historical pictures useful titles and descriptions, but this is obviously a huge undertaking. We have over 3,500 pictures covering 6 years of SELF history! Please be patient with us.
